- Kevin A1 contributionWe discovered these water gardens several years ago and now go back every year when staying in the Dordogne. Beautiful, relaxing and interesting place with fantastic water lilies and lotus flowers and literally hundreds of frogs. The maze is our favourite but whole place is great and excellent value too.Written September 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elle CFrance174 contributionsA beautiful church. I was surprised to see the vaulted ceiling and the colourful stained glass windows. From the exterior the interior was unexpected ceiling. Lucky to have the sun shine through, whereby I could sit in the kaleidoscope of colours and shapes. Indeed worth a visit.Written October 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- susan9691Abergavenny, UK3 contributionsWe visited this park a few times while on holiday in nearby Grolejac, my boys aged 9 & 10 had a great time on their scooters, and the local kids were always friendly and welcoming.Written April 13, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Saphi08Singapore, Singapore29 contributionsLovely farm with local produce and wine. We do not speak French but the lady there patiently explained the wine there, we used google translate when required. Lovely place, worth a visit. Lots of locals shop there when we were there in the morningWritten June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy FSanta Fe, NM32 contributionsMy wife and I had pre-arranged a visit / tour in English with Natalie before we traveled to France. When we arrived at the farm on a Thursday around 6:30 PM, we learned from the daughter that Natalie was now working in another town and that there was no gavage feeding planned for that evening. We agreed with the daughter to return the next evening for a short tour with her father, who is now the sole goose farmer and Foie Gras canner at Elevage du Bouyssou. Thanks to the magic of Google Translate, the tour was quite informative. We learned about the process from purchase (@ 1 day old) to gavage feeding (after either 4, 5 or 6 months) to slaughter (after 3 weeks of gavage feeding) to canned Foie Gras - all of which is now done solely by the father. His capacity is approx. 900 geese per year. We also learned about the additional procedures and steps he has to follow because of the widespread incidence of avian flu. To our surprise, the actual gavage feeding was rather unremarkable, albeit still educational. We were glad that it eventually worked out to take this tour, and are thankful for the time the farmer spent with us, and the effort he put into telling us his story and answering our questions.Written October 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WWAJBMaidenhead, UK27 contributionsWe did a half day rental and cylced with our children 14. 12 and 10 from 10am - 2pm. We followed the 'Voie Verte' along the old railway line to Cazoulès. This was 40km return but was very easy as the route is flat and the surface smooth and easy to ride on. We stopped for a picnic at the river in Cazoulès, just beyond the end of the route. It was a great day and the scenery was beautiful.Written August 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gerry DRamsey, NJ79 contributionsAlthough there weren't a lot of reviews to go on, Carsac Canoe had the best rating and so we went with them. They were great! The trip itself is gorgeous; a great way to spend a summer day. We went as far as La Roque Gageac and made it in good time, even stopping off for lunch along the way, and with a nice swim. We were a bit unsure of the final destination, but after putting in along the way, someone put us right. I would recommend taking a picture of the landing area just to put your mind at rest.
It's a cash-only business, so be prepared. The staff were very friendly and pick-up from La Roque was easy. Their equipment was sound too. I would definitely recommend using them.Written October 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was fairly quiet, which I am sure helps, but our two boys had a fantastic time in the trees. They could redo the bits they enjoyed the most and all of the staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful. The toilets were clean and the snack bar was useful.Written September 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
