A fantastic, old school entertainment. Loved it as a kid and just as much decades later.

The only problem is that the Saturday show was more of a museum exhibition and we couldn't stay for Sunday's show, which is an old fashioned "Curse you Black Baron!" melodrama that is so much fun for, as the circus always called it, 'Children of All Ages", which to me means everyone with a sense of wonder.

What a beautiful walk. So peaceful. Great meadow biodiversity of insects, birds, and plant life. Open skies, magical river views, whimsical Elvish-looking wooden buildings here and there.

The Equis Art Gallery is dedicated to all things equestrian and has all forms of art work dedicated to the medium including cards, jewelry, paintings and statuary. The artwork is large and small so there are decorative items for the house and small gifts as a host present.

The fact that they work with so many local artists is a plus so the works are creative and show the medium in so many forms. They do a wonderful job here.

The gallery owner is super nice and very welcoming to her store.

Best Christmas Tree farm ever. Huge sprawling views - always a great tree to be found. The staff are helpful and still keep a nice 'upstate' feel. They are usually more expensive than other farms, but this year they kept their prices steady while everyone else raised them. Really a great place. We get our tree here most years. Highly recommended.

This is our favorite place for fruit picking, and we go to many places in NY and NJ to compare it to. Every type of fruit has numbers of varieties, each in a clearly marked row. The people who work there are professional and helpful. We have met the owners a few times who were very interested in us having a good experience.

As with all the fruit picking places, get there early to get the best pickings.

It is such a beautiful classy place. The entrance is like that of a Tuscan villa, with big, old elegant trees lining the road. The property was first deeded in the 1790's! So there is some history with this place.

Over the last year they aded a cider mill and drinking establishment. I don't know how it is doing in this Covid era.

We have bought local eggs there that were very good.

It is 5 minutes from Red Hook.

A special place to visit and enjoy.

I booked this tour as a christmas gift for my boyfriend while we were on holiday in NYC as he loves bourbon. We were really excited to go, however I am left feeling quite apathetic about the trip. I chose this one specifically as online it was promoted as a chocolate and whisky tasting and tour which would have been both our favourites, however on arrival was told the chocolate production ended in the summer and won’t be restarting. (It’s December, that should have been updated and clear on all the booking details etc). The tour itself was interesting, it was cool to see they’ve developed a special corn for their bourbon, but the delivery was unenthusiastic. The tasting was fair, we tried two rye whiskies and a bourbon, however we didn’t get any guidance on what to taste/smell for etc.

I saw another comment which recommended trying out other distillery tours and I really agree, it’s all there on the whisky side, it just needs finessing.

My husband and I stopped here on a day trip to upstate New York. We've been to Red Hook in the past. We walked the village and stopped here. Had a lovely chat with the owner's mother, who was so gracious. Nice inventory, reasonable prices. I bought an antique vegetable bowl. Would definitely stop here again when I'm in the area.

Hoffman's Barn is our favorite antique barn. Roger, his wife Pam and the entire team will go out their way to help you find exactly what you're looking for. Unlike other shops, they continue to add to their inventory regularly. Prices are very fair and I am fairly certain you will walk away with something you've been looking for or maybe even something you weren't. Either way, you'll leave there happy - it's that kind of place.

I went lap swimming for the first time in this pool. It was clean, safe, uncrowded, and free!! Yes, there are all sorts of rules, but it's worth it to be able to swim outdoors in Brooklyn.

Be sure to bring shoes to wear in the locker room. There are separate rooms for changing, or you can use the communal room. I met 2 new friends, and I can't wait to go back. If the locker room weren't an old basket ball court, the pool would be 5 stars.

You see all these little signs within a 10-mile radius pointing the way to STAGE STOP ANTIQUES. Your curiosity is whetted. So you follow the signs and wind up at an old red barn on the side of Turkey Hill Rd., right near the Taconic Parkway. Note: You are in Milan, but the zip code is Red Hook, so even TripAdvisor couldn't find the place! Step inside and you smell the old, musty barn and spy the treasures of a dealer to whom collecting and selling this merchandise is in his blood. You can judge from the Facebook page what he has and if it interests you. Lots of old tools, glassware, ephemera, books, and modern turned wood ornaments and bowls from a local craftsman are just some examples. You won't necessarily furnish your upstate retreat with items from here, but you might find a treasure or collectible. Definitely worth a trip and a look.
