What travellers are saying
- MarkSan Antonio, TX4 contributionsOur wine tasting with Greg was fun and informative. Lunch was excellent, especially the cheese board. Our waitress and the wine steward, Amanda, were both friendly, attentive, and provided flawless service. We love taking friends and family to Grape Creek!Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BidwellRunnerChico, CA392 contributionsFredericksburg is a great place to visit and with this museum it makes a visit there even better. The museum offers a great history of the events that took place in the Pacific during WW2. This was very informative. If you were not aware, the battle in this area was waged long before the US got involved (via Pearl Harbor). Did you know that nearly 20,000,000 Chinese died in the war? It was great hearing the background on many of the battles and names that are part of our history. In conjunction with this museum is the Admiral Nimitz Gallery, housed in the location that Nimitz grew up at. On the grounds outside there are several nice places to visit, including the Peace Garden, Plaza of the Presidents and the Memorial Courtyard.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vork TravelSaint Louis, MO176 contributionsThis is an awesome park! You do have to navigate rocks on the summit trail, but it is a really neat trail. There are lots of other trails in the area to check out too!Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mary R7 contributionsSo beautiful! Trails to walk through the fields with great photo ops and beautiful flowers. See an array of Texas wildflowers, take the tour bus for the vineyards, do some shopping and even buy supplies for your own garden. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. There are restrooms on site too. I recommend stopping and taking a stroll on the way into or out of Fredericksburg. I will definitely be back.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- digitalrocCalgary, Canada1,869 contributionsI drove down Main Street before heading back to San Antonio. Main Street looks like a great street to walk down to check out some stores and admire the historical buildings. I missed out on the Admiral Nimitz Gallery, which is located on Main Street as well.Written November 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mary s1 contributionEve was fabulous!! The wines were yummy! Eve helped teach us about the wine making process. The free appetizers were soooooo good! Chef prepared! We joined and can’t wait to receive our first shipment.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Busym0m03Saint Joseph, MO53 contributionsA beautiful drive through some gorgeous and unexpectedly rocky stark landscape of Texas. Although we missed the showy display of Blue Bonnets, the other wildflowers were gorgeous! Indian paintbrush and flowering cactus were abundant.
We made the drive midday on a Thursday and only saw one other vehicle on the loop, so we were able to drive slowly and enjoy the panoramic vistas.
There is no place to stop or even pull over, so keep that in mind and bring any refreshments needed with you.

- Margaret K1 contributionVery nice viewing area with a guide who explains all about the bats. However, just to let you know, the upper level is NOT free. It is $2.00/person.Written August 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rebecca5 contributionsThe staff and wine are excellent. They also have great food that compliments the wine. When my husband and I went there was a live band outside and ample seating. My biggest concern when visiting a new place is whether it is clean. This place was clean and comfortable. The servers are knowledgeable but not snooty. It was a great experience. Also it was reasonably priced.Written February 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DaBigGSlidell, LA680 contributionsSaw Reckless Kelly there on 10/21. Band was great and so was the venue. Crowd was a little rowdy, but look at the entertainment. Full bar and clean restrooms. Over all a clean establishment.
If the show was right, I'll go there again.
Only negative thing was that Reckless Kelly's lead in act was not good.Written October 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
