We had a great week of intermediate skiing with our beginner niece. The town is built on a through road and has a few shops and bars but no real centre. It is a modern resort.
The ski runs are well cared for and varied. Beware red 17 unless you are ok with black runs or a long walk to the gondola.
We were hampered by low cloud for a few days on our stay but managed to do most of the runs during the good weather.
Blue 34 gives you access to the hotels at the far end of town.
If you havent already - try the local Bombadino drinks.......they go straight down to your boots!!

The monument designed by the architect Pietro del Fabbro was built in 1920 in Memory of the Fallen in First World War.
Over the top you can admire a beautiful bronze statue of the Winged Victory, a copy of the statue inside the museum of Santa Giulia in Brescia.
Behind it, inside the Crypt there’s many marble tombstone with several names of the Fallen

Thanks to all the gang in 6PUNTO9.

Matteo and Gigi helped my friends and I get our snowboard lessons and rentals sorted before we even arrived in Italy from Ireland.

We are all regular skiers but decided to try out snowboarding this year, so a massive thank you to Lorenzo for giving us a brilliant snowboarding lesson, he was so helpful and made the experience really fun. He was also very patient with us when we spent the first hour on our backsides rather than standing on the board! :-)
And a huge shoutout to Johnny, he was a pleasure to talk to and helped us greatly with our rentals.

    Couldn't recommend this please enough!

The hike is easy (i.e. not too long , not too steep) so suitable for anyone but the views are great. The path links Malga Valbiolo to Passo dei Contrabbandieri and it is in marmots territory!!

This is the first part of a long route used during WWI. Passo del Tonale at almost 1900m is the starting point. Along the route you reach almost 3000 m (Passo Maroccaro) in a beautiful alpine landscape before heading down to rifugio Mandron at 2400 where you can spend the night. The route is well reported (follow the dove on the signposts).

Thanks Thomas, had an excellent week of lesson with you.
Both me and my son had ski’d before ( a little bit) and Thomas was in charge of our group. We had a similar ability group, with some more confident than others, he managed the group well and supported everyone appropriately, he explained everything really well, in simple terms and with a good sense of humour.

We both progressed well and our confidence grew, I went from never having been on a proper slope ( my indoor beginners day doesn’t count) to being very confident on the blue runs and on the last day trying nearly all the red runs in the resort with a good degree of success.

I would definitely recommend the ski school and really wanted to thank Thomas for his efforts this week. Although thanks to my fellow ski group members, was a pleasure to meet and ski with you all 👍
