- 809beverleylSheffield7 contributionsLarge Sandy beach which is sheltered from waves by rocks
Clear warm water ideal for children and adults alikeWritten June 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Even when there were large numbers of people, it still felt like there was room to move about without being crowded.Written September 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nnmercmanCamberley, UK13,826 contributionsThe wetlands extend over a large area especially at low tide when the expanse of mud flats are exposed. There’s plenty of birdlife and I also noticed a couple of public viewing hides on the road into Santona - The road actually crosses the marshes for quite a distance. There’s a number of paths and trails which you can take and it’s enjoyable walking along seeing what you can spot. There’s an interpretive centre at the estuary end of the port area but unfortunately it was closed when I visited early March.Written March 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They do have I formation around but their English speaking staff are limited.Written June 15, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bandit-OneLucerne, Switzerland7,838 contributionsCame here for the views and a bit of a walk. The path leading up here starts down at the camping site. But parking is only for residents there. The closest lot - besides the few spots by the Antenna - is down at the Playa El Sable. And it's a free parking lot.
From there it's not far to get to the path. The path leads along the coast with wonderful views. It's not a long walk to reach de Cabo. Once you're up the hill there are many other ways and paths to explore. One following the coast further west. There is a short, but very steep section right before getting to the top. On a dry day that will be no problem. But if it's rainy (or was), then I can imagine it will be tricky to get up/down without slipping.
From the Cabo you will see wondeful coastlines. The north of Spain is just always an amazing sight. The coast up here is breathtaking.
It's really a nice spot with great views. And only few visitors around. But bring some water on a hot summer day. Nowadays it gets pretty hot even up here in the north.Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
