I have booked a room for 3 nights from 4th November at Frimley by Travelodge portal.
In the payment section, i chose to pay by Credit card. After putting in the credit card details in their secured page, My booking was confirmed and the total fee was taken out from my credit card.
But in the Booking confirmation mail, following statement is written:
"No payment has been taken from your Visa Credit card. Please bring this card with you when checking into the hotel to guarantee your booking. Your card will be charged on arrival"
Why payment reception is being denied after already taking the payment from the card? Why am i being asked to pay again?
Is this some kind of credit card scam? If it is clearly Travelodge website is responsible.
I have tried calling the provided telephone number. But no one received the call.
