I will be taking this ride as a solo traveler. Only one "regular" aisle seat was available. What are the odds of upgrading to the parlor car if there is a no show? If so, which is better: a "drivers side" (right) seat in a regular car, or a "passenger side" seat (left) in the parlor car.
Also, do you have to stay in your assigned seats, or are there other cars with observation decks available?
We purchased Polar Express train rides for November 2015 before I knew we were expecting another baby. :) As of November, I will be 11 months pregnant. I will ask my doctor if it's advisable for me to ride, but need to know what type of motion riders experience during the Polar Express ride? Does the train sway greatly or just slightly? Also, do passengers on that train ride feel any vibration or bumpiness during the ride? If so, how much? Thanks so much for answering! I want to be sure it's safe for me to ride.
