Going to be visiting San Fran and Chinatown for the first time this coming week. Where is the best place to start my jaunt for Chinatown?
anyone know where the public restrooms are and if they're safe to use? One reviewer mentioned Starbucks near a red dragon arch (?) but I guess you'd need to buy something first wouldn't you? Someone else mentioned that the "Park" has clean bathrooms but not sure what they're referring to.
I'm going to be visiting in a couple of weeks and Chinatown is definitely one of the spots we want to visit.
Is there a best street to walk by? Like where all the shops and such are at? How much time should we dedicate, half a day?
Best area to find good food?
Thank you everyone
We're likely to be touring this area at dinner time and one of my kids will not eat Chinese food. He hates the smell and refuses to taste even Americanized stuff like orange chicken at Panda Express. The rest of the family loves it and we're hoping to make this a good experience. I'm sure the touristy part and souvenir shopping will be fun for him but I'm anxious about what to do about dinner. So my question is: does anyone have any suggestions for finding a place within Chinatown that has American food? If nothing else I guess he can fill up on fortune cookies as we plan to visit the factory during our walk. Thanks for your input.
Does anyone have a good idea of how to get dishes home from chinatown? We are flying back to Minneapolis.
