We are traveling to New York in early June.
Staying on the UES.
Planing on doing a walking tour in the late afternoon on a Monday til 4:00 pm.
1.) Looking for good dinner options. (we aren't finicky eaters, want the local feel)
2.) Spending the evening in the area, looking for good music. (Jazz,Blues, Big Band)
Cotton Club? Red Rooster?
We are finding that a lot of the music places are closed on Mondays.
Some are only open on Friday, Sat, Sunday.
Thanks Dave and Cindy
Hello, me and my boyfriend plan to go to NYC for a week and We will stay in Harlem (madison and 126th) I have been reading and I want to know if it is safe. We will be sightseeing all day and We will return at night is it safe to take the train and walk a few blocks??
What bus could I take from your train station to Harlem. I want to spend the day there on 8/20/16. I guess I could even take the trains with directions. Can you help me out.
I want to spend the day in Harlem on August 20 to celebrate my birthday. I know nothing about the buses or train stations. I normally take the train up and walk around and shop. I visited Harlem about 20 years ago with my church at the time. I want to just walk, eat and shop. I will be driving to Hamilton and taking the train up. Please help me. I am a young 65 and want to just enjoy the City.
Hi, I would like to visit this neighborhood to see the authentic architecture of the buildings , the colorful ones each with a private staircase entry .. In addition to having lunch in one of the special American restaurants there . Which area exactly should I be heading to as my destination from the Central Park ??
