Parador de Alarcon Questions & Answers

Phoenix, Arizona

Hi! Do you have any idea how to get to the Castle (Alarcon) from Madrid? My son just booked it but we can't figure out how to get him there! Thanks so much in advance.

Driving its easy to find either using a map, google maps or Sat Nav. Accurate on all, we found. Its well signposted. I don't know about public transport as it is very remote

It is easy to get to if you are driving - the village is listed in all GPS databases.

I don't know if the village is served by public transportation... it is a very small village. I suggest you write the staff at the Parador and ask them for advice.

We had our own vehicle (came over on ferry from U.K. to Bilbao) and although the old town which the castle is in seemed a bit remote, the road links were excellent. We weren’t coming from Madrid but we used lots of the roads in the area and found them all a pleasure to be on.

If he hasn’t his own car, is hiring one a possibility? It appears to be a journey of just over 2 hours which might not be realistic for a taxi.
