Hi, Just wondering about this beach for small kids? Also is it totally sandy or are their rocks? How about changing rooms if needed? How close can we park to the beach and is there anything in the area to keep kids interested if we were not swimming/playing? We have a 2 and a 7 year old. Is parking free there? Would you suggest Monday is better than weekend.
Familial beach all sandy there is changing rooms. You park directltly on the beach. The village is just across the street pay parking. Eventhough the beach is really popular weekdays would be a better choice
No dogs, drinking booze, only propane bbqing allowed. All sandy beach that goes a long way down. Monday to Thursday is 15$ to park inside the beach, Friday to Sunday $20 . They have a huge big washroom closer to entering and lots of green out houses . Security forces the rules on what's allowed and not. Beach is very busy on weekends, lots of places to shop and eat. Ice cream truck (white truck with scooby doo on it. $4 ice cream different flavors. Very clean. Water is so clear.
Yes Monday is better parking is 15 dollars all day lots to do at the beach
The beach is great for young children as it is clean and you can park close to the beach or on the beach.i highly recommend this beautiful place and going during the week might be ok but it is summer.
Sauble is one of the longest cleanest sand beaches in Canada it is beautiful. The South side is native owned which for a few you can drive your car on. I believe they still alow you to bbq. There are only a couple washrooms. The shore line is high so not a much space as in past year. But still plenty. Farther down the native side you will find the trading post. General store take out ice cream.
The south side is ran by South Bruce Penensula
There is a pay parking lot downtown. You can not drive on the remainder of the long beach. However on the road side of the beach (lake shore Blvd )there is pay angle parking. No dogs or bbq in South side. There is a small dog area closer to down town. There are two washrooms downtown and one one mile down the beach. But each walkway to the beach along lake shore has a porta potti. Downtown you will find a Ariel rope park paddle board rentals arcade Subway Mars fries beach buger Rustic pizza beach buger two chicks cafe that has outdoor live entertainment Amechies coffee cafe Dairy Queen taco bus beaver tails and a great beach patio / restaurant Solas ( try the pizza it’s fantastic) they have live entertainment across the rd on the beach is Dobson’s fries burgers which has been there for ever. Close just down rd is Channing’s Chinese food and another frie place.
Also downtown is giggles arcade and bicycle rentals. Various shops on Main Street and tattoo shop. Up the street at the main lights you will find the grocery store pizza pizza liquor store and plaza with convenience store pizza delight dnl dinner ( good home cooked meal) and pharmacy
The Dunes bar and grill ( live entertainment )
As you enter Sauble you will find beer store home hardware and Sauble Sports ( ATVs jet skis )
If you own a ATV there are miles if organized trails stop into Sauble Spiorts fir map and trail pass season day weekend.
A short drive North you will find Sauble Falls and provincial park. There you will find good fishing canoe kayaks paddle boats
There are motels and cottage rentals
Much more to explore short drives away Wierton Tobermory Southampton Port Elgin and Owen Sound. Go to explore the Bruce.
Hope that helps.

you haven’t been yet visit Sauble Beach still a non comercialized Beach town.
The beach is divided into 2parts.On the Indian side you are allowed to drive on park on one side of a small burm and set up on the other, all shallow and sandy. There are washrooma and portapotties,no change rooms.
On the town side parking is on the lakeshore road and on side streets for a price..On the Indian side there is a price for entering.
On the town side washrooms are scattered ,with port a potties to help out..no change rooms as such.Sandy Beach as well. You are responsible for your children there are no lifeguards.
The beach is 7 miles long. There is a down town with shops and restaurants.
The beach has been very crowded this year ,not easy to get a parking spot close by. Paid parking is 15dollars a day,the money is for beach maintenance,we are a very small community.
So if you come Enjoy our beautiful area and please respect it
I believe it is paid parking in the beach - it is very big and sandy (not really any rocks) but also very crowded- probably weekdays are best - did not see changing areas.
You can park on the beach or on the side road. Also the Beach is completely sand and safe...especially for young kids..I love Sauble as it is very clean as well..
This was my first time there. The water is sand bottom and very shallow for a long way out so great for kids. Bring sand pails and shovels for building sand castles. Parking paid parking and is on the road just behind the beach. We parked at 6th street because that is close to the washrooms, which could be used for changing as well. We did not go to main beach so can't speak of that but the main drag has your typical beach shops and ice cream and burger joints.
