From reading about this trail, it seems like you have to wait until July to do it. But, in reading a comment in a local "The Cascade Loop" publication, it is referred to as a "year-round" trail. We will be in the area in late May. Can anyone offer any insight as to whether this is doable at that time of the year, and if so, how dangerous (we are adventurous, but not experienced with ice picks type hiking, etc.).
Just trying to plan an agenda for our trip, and would love to get up in a higher view than just from the Cascades Highway - any insight will be appreciated.
