East Winds Questions & Answers

Jersey, United Kingdom

Hello! We've just booked for June 2019, and I'm still browsing the photos on TripAdvisor. I note warning signs about Sea Urchins ... are these seasonal, widespread or what? My mother trod on one many years ago in Jamaica, and I don't want to experience that myself!

Hello there.

We have a reef at one side of the beach and there are a few spiny creatures there including crabs lobsters and sea urchins. But they don't venture continue swimming area which is a safe and sandy bay.

Don't worry!

See you in June.

We swim here and it’s only amongst the rocks mainly to the left l. The main swimming area isn’t a problem. Enjoy your holiday

Only by the rocks and not a problem anyway. I hit one a few years back (totally my fault as I wasn’t looking near the rocks) and easily pulled out the odd spine. Ones in Europe far worse! Back for 6th visit in feb

We went in June this year and I don’t recall hearing of anyone being stung whilst we were there. I guess the hotel can best advice how common this really is.
