I see that there are areas near Digby that are great for seeing the night sky. I was thinking that the Cape Breton area may be good also, as it is relatively sparsely populated, thus less light pollution. Can anyone tell me if this is true? We are in the planning stages of a trip for August/September of 2016.
Hi yes it is very sparsely populated in areas and therefore very little light pollution. If there is something you really want to see in the night sky my only advice would be to aim your viewing date away from the full moon and hopefully you will get clear skies :)
At Ingonish today, night sky was fabulous, no light pollution at all. Just get away from lights locally.
