According to the locals we talked to, Nov. would be the better time--Dec is very cloudy and snowing, so you can't see the lights. the best months to go are Feb and March to see the lights. you can dog sled if there's snow

Yes November and December should be fine. 'Northern Tales' organised our trip - seeing Northern Lights and also Dog Sledding. Part of the time we stayed stayed in the town Whitehorse and part at the Northern Lights Resort - log cabins and good views of lights...I think they would also be able to arrange Dog Sledding. We did 2 nights in Whitehorse and 2 nights at the Resort.

Of course remember the Lights are a natural phenomena and sighting s cannot be guaranteed so oranise more that one viewing, we had 4 and saw the lights twice.

November and December are great times to see the northern lights, as the nights are long. Northern Lights offers an optional side trip to go dog sledding, which I highly recommend. My wife and I did the half day dog sledding trip and had a blast! Not only do you get to ride in the sled, but they let you drive the dog sled, as well.
