Will the trails be open during the last two weeks of September/early October?
Almost certainly. However, this is a fairly high altitude location, so the weather can be unpredictable. Early snow is always a possibility, but even with light snow the trails will still be open. Make sure you are geared up appropriately for possible bad weather and be aware this is big bear country. Investing a few bucks in a can of bear repellant is a good idea. Other wise this is a beautiful area with few people .... enjoy!
They are - just dress for the weather
I am sorry but I don't know. Would recommend communicating with the park via the web site.
I don't see why not!
We were there the last week of June and the upper 1/4 of the trails were still closed but expected to open in about a week. I would expect the trails to be open until the end of September but any time after that could be problematic. Once the snow starts it may not melt until next spring. The park closes the roads as opposed to plowing the snow.
