The Great Victoria Hotel Questions & Answers

Hi.

Just reserved a room for a couple of weeks time, a 4th floor double room, the pictures look really nice however, the reviews not so good... thinking of cancelling this? Has anyone had a good stay on the fourth floor? Also, how is the breakfast?

We were in a basement room which was quiet. Not the best place I have ever visited. The breakfast is OK but basis but there is no meet served on eggs (I think this is for the owners religous beliefs) as well as eggs there are juices, tea and coffee and toast, fruit and cereals.

sounds like a horror movie stay off the 4th floor, I can't recall what floor we stop on but rooms have all been lovely and I think the breakfasts are pretty good too and the staff are always courteous.

Can't speak for the 4th floor either I'm afraid. We stayed on the first floor and the room was fine. We actually thought the breakfast was great. For the money we paid we had no issues with the accommodation.

Don't know about the 4th floor but I thought the breakfast was pretty rubbish. There is a weatherspoons behind the city hall opens at 8am. You'd be better in there

I would highly recommend you cancel. Food is disgusting and the room is freezing. The hotel has seen better days, and the breakfast is lukewarm and the cheapest they can find. It is too late for us...save yourself and book elsewhere!!
