Hello, yes there is. Leaving from Inverness you should sit on the right hand side. Although our carriage was fairly empty, so I switched sides a few times. Don't forget about the rail strike though - at the moment there are no trains running at all on Sundays. Enjoy your journey, it's a wonderful way to unwind.

Yes definitely. If leaving from Kyle, sit on the left-hand side in the direction of travel. Likewise, if leaving from Inverness, sit on the right-hand side in the direction of travel. This means you will be on the loch side, and providing it is not raining, you should be able to spot the Cuillens on Skye in the distance, as you go towards Kyle.
