Hello. How easy is it to get to CDG from this hotel? And what is the cost of transportation to the airport, approximately?
If you only have a carry on and don't mind a bit of walking, you can easily take the RER for 10€ from CDG to Chatelet-Les Halles. From terminal 2 it's about a 10 minute walk to the CDG station, then approximately a 30-40 minute train, then another 10 minute walk to the hotel from the Chatelet-Les Halles station, assuming once you are out of the station (it's a large and major station), you have your bearings.
Make sure you keep your tickets when entering/exiting the stations.
If planning on using the RER to return to CDG, just make sure you distinguish between the RER Chatelet Les Halles vs the Metro Les Halles stations, as you can readily get distracted if not paying attention once underground.
I used google maps on my iPhone to keep me headed in the right direction. Sometimes the app tells you to connect from the RER to the Louvre metro stop, but don't. It's will just add to travel time walking through more subway stations as well as having to buy another ticket for the metro.
With more luggage, I would opt for a taxi because of the number of people in the station as well as the difficulty of navigating turnstiles with multiple pieces of luggage.
My husband and I were picked up from Hotel Odyssey by a private transportation operator which was part of our travel package so I don't have an idea how much it cost. It took about 30 to 45 minutes to CDG depending on the traffic. The Hotel Staff are very helpful if you want to know the details on how to commute from the Hotel to CDG.
I went to the hotel from the train station (Gare du Nord) not from CDG. Try Uber for transport. I went to Orly by Uber (about Euro 40).
You can take the metro directly from CDG to Les Halles and this hotel is just a few blocks away from there. Metro is the cheapest form of transportation, but a taxi would be about 40-60 euro.
