When I think of Rome, I think first of this cooking class with Paola. It was absolutely the best day of our trip! 140 euro is typical for most of the cooking schools that I researched. We'll do it again next time we go to Rome. We made one of the recipes tonight!

It was 140 euro for the day. Which is crazy pricey, but on the other hand you get to shop with Carlo and Paola in the farmer's market and other food shops (and get guidance on best brands to buy to take home), you learn to make some great food and get lots of explanations about stuff, you eat a wonderful meal with lovely, intelligent, creative and fun people, and you get recipes (even more than what you learned in class!) emailed to you afterward. It was our big splurge (even our most expensive restaurant meals in Rome never exceeded 30 euro apiece--our fave was Renato and Luisa, by the way) but we were really glad we did it. We still tell people it was one of our favorite days in Rome.
