What is the best and cheapest way to get here from Treviso?
You have two choices:
1. Using FlixBus by €6 almost, to take you to Venice bus station, but you need to take another transportation (Like taxi boat or public boat) "with different prices" from bus station in Venice to take you to the centre.
2. Take Water bus (AliLaguna) from Airport of Marco Polo to the center of Venice directly with €15 per person.
Not sure where Treviso is. We arrived in Venice by train from Milano. I see other answers regarding transportation which is helpful to you.
Hi, I would take the train straight from Treviso Station direct to Venice St Luicia; once in Venice its easier to walk around if you fitness will allow.
Don't forget to validate your train ticket using the station machines once you've purchased the ticket!!!
You need to go across land via bus, then get the waterbus from the mainland or the north of Venice.
You could also bus to marco polo airport, then get water bus from there.
By far the cheapest way to get around Venice is via the water bus, next is water taxi then at great expense and little benefit is the private boat.
The water bus can be quite full but my partner and I managed with a big suitcase each plus a small carry on bag each.
The water bus and taxi service at the main terminal work very efficiently and seem to move a lot of people as this is the only way in most cases to get around this beautiful city. Best of luck and enjoy
Apologies for delay.. I think it is the local bus service .. we just googled it, purchased tickets I. Advance .. very reliable and punctual.
