What water taxi did you take?
Any I have looked at are a lot more expensive than €60.
Cheers Liz x
Hi Liz sorry only just seen your question, the water taxi was from a little hut by the boats, we could'nt seem to get any help on what boat to get, and it was so hot we just got one in the end, they quoted 60e, we were only on the boat for about 10 minutes, however they may have increased their charge ssince we went in July.
the hotel is 15 min. walking
I would point out there are several small bridges to carry suitcases over so we chose to wait for the Orange line and It is the 1st stop. From memory it is Orto but please check and get a walking map.
Agree it is a wonderful start to see this amazing city.
We took the Alilaguna Water Bus from the airport - a fabulous way to arrive in Venice! The cost was 15e (25e return)
The Linea Arancio (orange) is the nearest to the hotel but the boats are smaller and we had to queue a long time at the airport to board one of these boats. So in hindsight we should have taken the first boat available either the Alilaguna Linea Blu or Linea Arancio both of which connect to Saints Macs Square. Its a 30 minute walk from Saints Macs Square to the hotel and providing you are travelling fairly light, its a delightful walk. Hope this helps.
