Go-Etna Questions & Answers

Memphis, Tennessee

Hi there. Thx u for the review. I'm planning to visit Edna with my friend at end of February.

Have a knee problem and although I can climb moderate hills I have to do it at a slower speed than probably others. How strenuous did you find the hiking in this tour? Thx you

IMO, there is moderate hiking on the volcanic rock (needs a bit of care), some steep steps to a smallish cave, and a long set of stairs down to the gorge. Things are done in a leisurely way and I am sure that if you inform GO-ETNA in advance, then they will do their best to accommodate you. I would have to say that being able to walk 1- 1 1/2 miles on 2-3 occasions gives you some fantastic views - as will the general driving around and stops along the way ... hope this helps.

In the car will be the driver, the guide and maximum 4 clients. Most of the climbing will be of road with the car. The climbing is soft, you definitely can do it. The guys from go etna will be patient and very helpful.

Have fun!

Dear Lily, i think it cant be a problem, not an exacting tour. But to be sure, ask the guys at Go-Etna, they're super helpful!

It was rather rigorous, and steep/unstable at times. However, as a private tour, I'm sure it could be done at a different pace. I'd call or email the company and inquire directly. They are VERY accomodating, and detail oriented. I do not think you'll have any difficulty planning the perfect trip for your specific needs.
