We took a detour to view the museum and surprisingly it was closed for hours (without notice). We were two of about 15 tourists who also came by to visit the museum in the few minutes we were there and all were disappointed and surprised by its closure. Adjacent streets were torn up last year, so one had to park and walk a distance, only to be met by closed doors.
1-2 hours. During Summer there are performances.
You should calculate minimum 1-2 hours.
Depends very much on the weather. If it is a good day you can easily spend half a day here. The museum itself can be done in a couple of hours max. That is going through it quite throughly.
2-4 hours total for both places - childhood home/Museum and adult home.
