We've booked to come in early December (from England) and having read your recent reviews are worried that the previous concerns don't seem to have been rectified i e dirty sheets and rooms. As someone else said, wouldn't want to come all that way and have to stay in a grubby hotel.
Please confirm all these problems are now addressed and no more dirty linen reviews have been posted.
I stayed in a suite, it was very clean, you could get the sheets changed daily if you chose to, they were clean and comfortable.
I've stayed here twice now (august 2013 and may this year), both times my room was fine, not fantastic but for the price it was clean and more than adequate, the room both times was a bit dated, which can give the room an unclean feel but it definitely wasn't unclean and I definitely had no mould either time. Both times I stayed in the Fern apartment block. Restaurant/bar is pretty average, recommend for a quick drink only.
When I stayed there for two nights in June my only complaint was the total lack of service in the breakfast area. The rooms were clean and I could not fault them. The Ibis is value for money, it is not a flash hotel. It is more a standard motel style.
We stayed there for four nights in June and our only complaint was the total lack of service in both the bistro and breakfast area. Our room was brilliant, the young people in reception could not have been more friendlier or helpful, the laundry was good.
Susan, my wife and I stayed there for 5 nights and can categorically say there was no issue with the bedding or the cleaning of our room.
Sheets and other linen were clean and of a standard suitable to an Australian family accommodation motel. It's not 10-star, so don't expect Rolls Royce treatment or high-class facilities.
Most days we asked that the room be NOT cleaned as we were happy to live in our own tourist 'mess' without taking up the time of the cleaning staff.
You'll only be in the room to sleep as there's too much to see in The Alice.
Plenty of well-priced tucker in the bistro at night. We bought one meal and shared it between the 2 of us.
Enjoy our Red Centre which is green at the moment due to plenty on non-seasonal rain.
