Are we allowed to bring our dogs for a walk around the fort?
I too am unable to say yes with any confidence! I can say I didn't see any staff while on my tour, and horses were risen around the area openly! I can't see why not as long as owners are respectful with dog waste...
I have found that dogs are not a common pet in the Gulf...
I do not know, although I did not see any?!
Sorry for late reply I have had no internet access for 2 weeks
I think so as long as they are on a lead. There are horses being ridden around the area.
I am not sure. When I was there I do not remember seeing any dogs
To be on the safe side, I suggest to reach out to them via email beforehand
The thing is, hardly any staff is on site to look after the Fort and there are no specific signs to say that no pets are allowed.
I went with my friend who took his pug along the trip however please note that this is a UNESCO site so ensure that the dog is on a leash and clean after the dog. I handcarried the pug once inside the fort because it was super windy on the day and I didn't want it to pee or chew on anything within the UNESCO Fort.
it is an open area, although I have not seen any pets when I was there, there were no sign for restriction, the only thing is that being an open area with little or no shelter, you might want to be very careful as on a hot sunny day it can get pretty dangerous for dogs due to soaring temperatures
