Hi all, I'm staying at the Old Beijing Square Hotel in October for 3 nights. I've booked into what is referred to as an 'elegant room' with the company i've booked with and I wondered what the best room names were so i could have a better understanding of the room i may get.
Also, do you have any other tips apart from the ones in your reviews and room tips, for a solo traveller?
It is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. But, ask for one of the quiet corner rooms.
Do not get or ask for any of the 3 rooms that overlook the courtyard as they are the noisy ones! Not only do you get disturbed by the noises/ conversations in the courtyard but we could also hear very clearly the noises and conversations from the adjoining rooms/ These rooms also have a glass wall and you have to use the blind to get some privacy.
We originally were given one off these rooms but asked to be moved because of the noises/conversations and lack of privacy.
They moved us into the room next to the kitchen and it was very quiet. It was also a lot more private.
Hope that this helps. Enjoy your stay
