I think is a little too much for a child since you get pretty tired but they offer horse and mule rides if your not scare of them
I did see some smaller children and of course some were in horseback. If you are not concerned with speed getting up and down but rather taking your time it would be okay. Make sure they have proper shoes and clothing to prevent any scrapes. Also depending on how many people it can get pretty dusty so bring some type of handkerchief to be able to cover the nose and mouth. Also some water.
I would only bring a 5 year old if you rent a horse for the climb, it’s a long way up a beaten path. They would love the horseback . It’s 30.00 usd fir the horse above the park fee and the guide fee
Personally No. I did see some kids but it’s not an easy climb and if your kid falls or scrapes their knee help is not going to be quick. You can get a horse for 200 Q but your kid rides solo. I would leave your child with a relative or trusted friend.
