Hi again. Just found a business card I picked up for Hotel Iran when staying recently. Tel no. = +(9831) 32 20 26 92 or 32 20 27 40, I can't post their email or website on TripAdvisor so if you need it, email me.

Lonely Planet guidebook is very helpful - there are even telephone numbers for hotels. Some hotels send confirmations by e-mail, some confirm by phone and it is ok, too.The price range is more or less the same mentioned in LP guidebook. The attractions are more expensive than mentioned in the book (5 eur for each attraction and for some museums you have to pay 5 eur for each building separately)

Sorry, in case you didn't read my review of the Hotel Iran, I would also highly recommend it as the place to stay in Esfahan.

Hi. Just finished a 30 day trip in Iran. There is quite a wide range of hotels in the popular tourist cities. I was in single rooms. Prices for comfortable, clean room was between US$25 - 30. So for doubles expect to pay US$45 - 60. But at the time of the year you are going you should be able to negotiate reasonable discounts. I used the Lonely Planet and although it is a 2012 edition, the listings for hotels in it is still pretty up to date (but the phone numbers are not!). Highly recommend Ateshooni Guesthouse in the oasis village of Garmeh, Saghedi Traditional Guesthouse in Kashan, Niayesh Hotel in Shiraz, Silk Road Hotel in Yazd.

Beyond these major tourist destination cities, the better accommodation tends to be more expensive (single rooms US$45 - 60), or it is quite basic & much cheaper - hostels or family homes. And there is less accomm in these towns/villages, and generally found close to the town centre. I would get to the centre, walk around a bit and ask the locals who are most helpful.

Good luck with your planning.

Hi Catherine, as far as I remember, I just sent en email to them. They were very responsive, quick answer and nice place to stay, the location couldn't be more central. Extremely friendly, very well English speaking reception staff. They were like a travel agency for me and had arranged a lot of things for my whole three-week stay (train tickets, bus tickets, all kind of information, hotel bookings, even money transfer). Have a great trip, Esfahan belongs to the most beautiful places of the world and Iranians to the most friendly people of the world.

Search "Iran Hotel" on google and you'll get website easily. (I can't mention their website in tripadvisor due to its policy)

Double room is 45$/room in this time. You can book a room by sending email. I've stayed here last Jan and winter was off season I guess. I booked just 3~5 days in advance and there was a room(single room) .
