I would like to know which cave is more worth going, fairy cave or wind cave? Reason being time constraint. Therefore can only go for one cave.

I found Fairy cave to be more beautiful. Neither is particularly difficult to walk through. Given that you have limited time it seems you are unable to visit the Gunang Mulu National Park which, is a 2 hour flight from Kuching into Borneo. There are some stunning caves (e.g. Deer Cave, largest terrestrial caves in the world). Google and see photos. If have the chance do not miss these. These part of Borneo is protected and they have maintained the rural character very well. The consequence is that most of the accommodation have limited amenities. If you want more comfort there is a 5 star Marriott Hotel though.

Well it depends on what type of adventure u prefer. For a light traveler, Fairy cave is very scenic and nice to see. Just a lot of steps to climb.

Wind caves is for the adventurous. It's very dark, lots of tunnels, lots of exploring in pitch black eerie silence and lots n lots of bats.

They both are situated not too far from each other.

Hi 612Jay,

The Fairy Cave takes its name from a stalagmite structure at the entrance that is said to resemble a Chinese deity. Inside, you will notice the great contrasts between the light entering the cave and its shadowy darkness, along with hues of brown and grey of the rocks – highlighted by the rich green of the moss – which offer many opportunities for the avid photographer. The rock surface outside the cave is where rock climbers do their ascent of varying difficulties.

Wind Cave, named after the constant cool breeze that blows throughout the cavern. Take the chance to observe the many swiftlets and bats that dwell within this large cave while you relax besides a subterranean stream that runs through the cave.

Personally I prefer Fairy Cave. /vina

It all depends on you. If you're someone who is impress with geological kind , than fairy cave with the better choice for you. Wind cave is something more adventerous and more things to see. if is possible go both . Spend about 1 hour each place . if not my vote will be at fairy cave

I prefer fairy cave but the journey took a bit longer tgan wind cave. But dont go to the wrong cave. ;) people often mistook the Poh Lin Shan ( the Buddhist temple with the lotus lake) as Fairy cave. :))

I only got to see Fairy Cave because it was the only one open at the time that I went. That said, based on the overall reviews, I would say Fairy Cave is the one worth seeing.

Depends on what you want .

Wind cave is a series of long tunnels , totally dark and almost silent. Great for sensory deprivation and those unusual fgeelings .

Fairy cave is just a big big cave with a big big mouth and the usual ferns fading through to algae . Lots of steps, some stalactites . Reasonable view out to mountains .
