Weather -wise (rainy season, etc) when is the best time to go?
We went in February experienced the dry season, warm to some people comfortable to me. Our return trip was Oct. 18 2017, everything was lush and green, cool with burst of humidity. October is a slow month there was just 5 of us at the resort. The staff treated us like we were family. In my conversation with Ms. Olympia, November is the beginning of the season for them. While we did have some rain it was always in the late afternoon or through the night all clear for the next morning.
Having been there in both the wet season (Nov) and dry season (Feb) we definitely preferred Nov. Everything is green and lush and the flowers are in there prime. Feb was the opposite - grass was brown, very few flowers and the trees were sad looking. The dust from the dirt roads was insane;we were covered and had to wash our feet constantly. Due to the hurricane in Nov all fishing was cxl'd when we were at CB so can't comment on that.
Most pleasant time to go is from November to April. Temperatures are moderate (Hot by US Standards, but the sun is not as intense as in June, July and August). In April and May you are likely to encounter rain, but it will not last all day. July and August will bring heavy downpours.
