My favorite place in Sedona is on Airport road, Sky Ranch Lodge.

drive north on I-17 Get off on route 179 exit 298 follow into downtown Sedona and turn left on 89A and follow to Airport Road on the left. Take airport road to the top of the hill and the lodge is on the right.

We preferred west Sedona. Uptown seemed like a theme park to me (the shopping area with kitschy restaurants). We rode mountain bikes and the hiking looks excellent as well. Great place to be outside and that’s what seems great about Sedona to me. Best Western Inn At Sedona (in west Sedona) was excellent and provided breakfast.

I highly recomment the Orchards Inn, right in the heart of downtown Sedona... get a room with a view of the red rocks, so worth it... we had a fireplace king suite, it was fantastic.

Very clean, very friendly and the perfect location to go anywhere in the area.

Hi my husband and I live in Sedona, so I haven't stayed in any Hotels. It really depends on how much you want to spend, and if you want a beautiful view of the Red Rocks! I would stay in West Sedona or Uptown Sedona. Not Village of Oak Creek. The traffic goibg and coming from VOC can be bad. Hwy 179 is wkrh tamubg obce to see views and hike. Bell Rock , Cathedral Rock, The Chapel, Oak Creek Canyon. I have a friend who does tours and has taken us to beautiful places. Sedona Spirit Journeys, her name is Crystal. If you find Sedona too pricey. Cottonwood is 15 min South and Flagstaff is 45 min North thru Oak Creek Canyon. It depends on how much time you have. It has been warm, mid to high 80s. Any more questions, just ask. Some great restaurants in Sedona. For gorgeous view and ambience Miraposa or Hudsons. Both pricey, but nice!

We rented a small home in Sedona for 4 nights but there are lots of hotels, resorts and rental condos or homes in the area. My wife did a lot of research on line for our rental as we included another couple in our stay. Other friends stayed in the Holiday Inn & Suites on Hwy 89A in Sedona (don't get confused by Village of Oak Creek which is on Hwy 179 several miles south of the main town of Sedona. As for what to see, wow, there is a lot to see and do and several others have posted some great ideas. Heed the advise to carry plenty of water, use sunscreen and a hat especially now that the temps are up. And, try not to suck up too much time in the tourist shops along the main drag (street.)

Just simply driving this Red Rock Scenic route is awesome! Several places where you can park and go hiking close to these formations.

Also, we never miss visiting the Tlaquepaque Arts and Craft Village in Sedona with its beautiful sculptures, pottery, and glass work. It features real artists, as opposed to hobby artists, and is definitely not junk! You don't have to buy anything to enjoy this unique area.

We stayed at Arroyo Canyon motel and it was great. Very handy if you happen to be going from Sedona to old copper mining town of Jerome, or if you want the thrill of driving back to Phoenix via Prescott Valley through the very curvy Mingus Mountains.

For a fun lunch try Cowboy Grille on the Main Street in Sedona and sample bison, rattlesnake, and cactus.

Hope you enjoy your time that area as much as we do.

If you’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, that has to be one of the must-do things. We did a paid tour which was very nice. I would definitely grab one of your meals at Dahl & Di Luca.

We drove straight from Phoenix to Sedona and we stayed in the small quiet section of Sedona called Oak Creek. Must do on Red Rock scenic drive is Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock and see the church in the rock. Enjoy!

We rented a condo through VRBO in Sedona and did not stay between Phoenix and Sedona. Most everything I would suggest is in Sedona- hiking the trails but bring plenty of water. Sedona off-road adventures had a fun hummer ride, if you want a great meal and horseback riding go to the M Diamond Ranch, about 45 min away is the verde canyon railroad, also sunset crater volcano national park is cool. Be prepared for traffic heading into Sedona but sit back relax and enjoy the totally different scenery.

I wish I could give you specifics, however, we did not stay in Sedona. We spent most of the day there, but, then drove to visit Jerome which was an old mining town with beautiful views. Then we stayed at a very nice Hampton Hotel in Prescott. We ended our trip in Phoenix and stayed a couple of nights at a newly redecorated Hampton in Tempe/Phoenix. The staff there was fabulous!
