Thanks for the review. I would like to know more about the Aqaba-Petra transport: how much does it cost? I am coming from Eilat, Israel. I will leave from Eilat around 1:30, so probably there at the Aqaba border around 2:30 I guess?
Hi Kevin, private transfer will cost you around 120-140 JD, but you really get a good service for this money. Very reliable, excellent English, explaining about the places you see and history- our driver even waited patiently for four hours in Wadi Rum, while we went for a Jeep Tour. Wish you luck!
Check with jordan-taxi (google it). They are reliable and cheaper than booking through a hotel.
I was traveling with a pre-paid group so am not able to help.
thanks for all your answers. I thought I was not very clear in my question. I am going to Petra from Israel, via the Eilat/Aqaba border.
YNNYN: it seems a bit over my budget, will take it as the last resort.
@Robert M: I know Jordan Taxi: but is it really reliable? I mean will the driver turn up? I don't mind paying a few more bucks.
@Shawn: how do you call a taxi on Jordan?
@VeronicaJKo: I am not driving...
check the timetable on google map can be helpful. but the easiest way is call a taxi...
Are you asking how much it costs to go from Aqaba to Petra? If so, we rented a car and drove so I don't know about shuttle bus or taxi. The drive is a few hours. I think that it's about 3 hours. We stopped at Wadi Rum for a day so I am trying to remember the total travel time.
