Which block has the most recently renovated rooms? (I'm thinking mainly bathrooms)

Someone said they found the room in the photos on the website. Any ideas which block this is?

I am unaware of which if any of the Asilomar villages have recently undergone renovations to rooms and or bathrooms. As another person responded would suggest you try and reach the actual Asilomar front desk lobby folks to field that question. The central reservation phone number connects to out of state reservation folks who are really not up to date on the property details. The last two years I have stayed in the complex with names of Afterglow, Hearth and Embers and they are all identical in layout and condition as far as I can tell. To be the condition of the rooms that I stayed in for Embers and Afterglow were in very good condition over all, with wear condition seeming to be less than 5 years of age since some refurbishment was done. Extremely clean bathrooms and shower/tub area. Only wear condition was sliding balcony door this recent visit. It had quite a bit of rust buildup in lower and Sid frame tracks requiring lots of energy force to open and close it. That was the extent of my cons on the room. These rooms for this set of buildings has the added benefit of a truly great underground garage for parking with plenty of big parking spaces and it adjoins at each corner of the garage the buildings of Embers, Afterglow and Hearth.

Surf and Sand are the most basic, dorm-like rooms; ours might have been renovated back in the 80s, the bathroom in the 60s. It worked out fine for us, but if you want "renovated", don't book those ones. We wandered around a lot, but sorry, I don't remember the names of the buildings that had newer-looking rooms. I would just email or call them.

We were in Embers and it was very nice and clean. There were 2 buildings under renovation and you may be able to call and inquire with the staff. The Surf and Sand buildings have vaulted ceilings for larger families and right on the dunes. I hear the bathrooms were nice in those as well, but we didn't see them ourselves. I hope this helps.

I do not know as my room was really not renovated in this century... Maybe the simpliest might be to just call the hotel and ask them?
