I will be in Denver the week before Christmas and would love to take a side trip to Breckenridge. Are there other ways to get there for a day trip besides renting a car and praying the roads are clear?
Yes. There are numerous shuttle services from DIA, and there is a much cheaper bus (The Bustang) that goes from downtown Denver to Frisco twice and day. Frisco is the next town over from Breck, and there are easily accessible free buses that go from Frisco to Breckenridge.
There are not a lot of public transportation options to Breckenridge, however there is probably a shuttle service you can find.
Google Shuttle from Denver to Breckenridge and a limo/shuttle service comes up
There are airport shuttle services that will bring you to Breckenridge. I used Fresh Tracks and the service was excellent! Their website shows the available timeslots. Count on the trip taking approximately 2 1/2 hours, weather dependent, of course.
google Summit express or Colorado mountain express they both should be able to help you. Have a great trip
Yes, there are a number of shuttle services that do van service that operate from the airport to various mountain destinations, I am not sure if they offer pick-ups in other spots. I would tell you that mountain tourism is the state's number one industry so roads are generally well maintained and plowed. Of course if it is snowing that day then you are dealing with something else entirely. So what I am saying is if you are comfortable with winter driving conditions (prepared for the worst) the odds are pretty good you will have clear interstate highway driving should you choose to drive.
Bus. Or some of the hotels have a shuttle that will take you to other areas.
Yea I bet there are.. it’s ski country so I’m sure they’ve figured out a way. Check with a couple ski resorts
Not sure there might be a bus depending where you r staying. I would look at that option
