Yak & Yeti Restaurant Questions & Answers

Kansas City, Missouri

We love Asian food, but not a fan of Landry's other restuarants. I've heard some people love this place, but only the quick service outside of the sit down restaurant. We have reservations, but don't want to blow our money on bad food. Is the sit down Yak and Yeti worth the cost? I can't tell if these reviews are for on or the other.

Yes! Ribs are excellent (and all other ribs by my family are measured against Yak & Yeti's); honey chicken is good. We had 8 people with us and everyone had a different entree and everyone loved their meals.

We ate at the outside counter which was very good. My son had been to the inside one and recommended it. We were in a hurray so ate outside.

Honestly, it used to be better food. I have never tried the counter version, but my family of four cost over $100 in the restaurant. Not worth the cost because the place is not very Disney... I think that meal was my last there... so to answer your question, No, save your money for a Disney-esque restaurant (or Rain Forest Cafe).

The food was well prepared, maybe salty as Asian food tends to be. There was a considerable selection as well. we are New Yorkers and somewhat foodies and we were not disappointed.

We did sit down, and it was great. We were there early for lunch , probably around 11:30, and had no wait. Our service was great, and we both liked the food. I had the honey chicken, my husband had the burger.

I had reviewed the sit-down one, and it definitely wasn't worth it for us, but then, we only tried the 2 dishes that I mentioned in my review. The service and the wait were horrible in our case.

Stir fry entree, hamburgers and appetizers are all excellent inside the table service area as is the atmosphere and service.

The price is typical of Disney restaurants with sit down service.

The sit-down Yak and Yeti is fabulous! It is a must in Animal Kingdom. Great food, selection and presentation, good service and neat decor. Portions are large; prices reasonable. You will not be disappointed! If you like burgers, you'll love the Kobe beef burger. I order it every time. Neat desserts and drinks, too.

Yak and Yeti is worth the money, and it isn't too expensive. You will not be disappointed. You can also go on the Disney website and view the menu if you are uncertain. But the food is flavorful, varied and it has become one of our favorites at Animal Kindgom!

We loved this restaurant. Food and service was considerably better than some of the other Disney restaurants. Downstairs was very busy so we were pleased we were seated upstairs. We felt the quality and portions represented good value for money and we would have certainly chosen to eat here even if we hadn't been on the Disney Dining Plan.

We couldn't say that about The Wave which we felt was far inferior and overly expensive.

I have only been there once and have not tried all of the food on the menu so I will not tell you whether it is worth it to go or not. I would suggest you look at the menu offerings and see which food may appeal to you. Next, you should look at the reviews and read the one that specifically talk about the food on the menu. So skip the one that use general descriptions such as "great" or "bad" because it doesn't tell which food the reviewer does not specifically like or dislike. The price on the menu are both moderate and pricey so I do understand why you are hesitant. If there are enough food on the menu that appeals to you, then go try for yourself. This is what I do whenever I go to try a new restaurant, we order different entrees and appetizers and share (if you are comfortable with that) so at least everyone can sample and form their own opinions.

I have tried the Ahi Tuna Nachos for 2 which I enjoyed and that is a really good value for what you get and pay for.
