Has the new small restaurant at the Danforth Inn Opened? OR When will it open and can we see a menu? What is its name?
Tempo Dulu opened its doors to the public on June 20th, we are serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00pm till 9:00pm with our Wayang Lounge opening for cocktails at 4:00pm.
You are able to find more information on our Facebook page, the restaurant website, or by contacting us directly at 207.879.8755.
We look forward to hosting you for dinner!
They told us it would be open around July 1, so recommend you reach out to them. They were in full construction mode when we were there.
I received an email from the owners a while back. The restaurant called Tempo Dulu opened June 19. Here is their description of the restaurant:
Tempo Dulu is an Indonesian phrase for "Time of Old" that specifically refers to the period of time when Indonesia was part of the Dutch East Indies. We will pair the elegance of European cuisine with the time-honored preparation of Southeast Asian spices and dishes to highlight the very best of Maine's local ingredients.
We were told about the restaurant plans during our visit back in Oct 2014, but asked not to write anything until it opened. I have not been to Portland since that time so have not eaten at the restaurant. If it is like everything that the owners have done with both the Danforth and their sister property the Camden Harbor Inn, it should be very good.
yes, call them directly about this. When I was there in early May the restaurant opening was scheduled for mid-June.
when we visited in earl May they were scheduled to open the restaurant in June. I would recommend calling the Danforth directly.
Also suggest contacting Inn directly.
The restaurant was work in progress during our April stay. My thought would be that it would be ready by now. Checking on their web site and reading Trip Advisor reviews from June though this would appear to be not the case. I suggest contacting the hotel direct for an update.
