The cat is super cute but we have strong cat allergies in our family. Would this affect us in our room or in the breakfast area?
We have six separate guest buildings, and our cat, Sabine, lives in the one where the reception desk and breakfast room are located--she is not allowed in the other buildings. We do allow guest pets in a second building, however, so if you were to book a room with us, we would make sure to put you in one of the four buildings that is entirely pet-free.
Concerning breakfast, you could have it delivered to your room, as noted above--there is no extra charge for this service--or we could sequester Sabine in the basement while you are in the breakfast room.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions, and thank you for your interest in the Porches.

The friendly cat is always downstairs in the lounges, never saw it in the breakfast area and your room should be cat-free.
My wife has cat allergies, which bothered her while she was in the lobby. She had no problem when she got back to the room. However I think it would depend on how serious the allergies are. In spite of her allergies my wife still had to pet the cat and scratch it's ear, stuffy nose and watery eyes for granted
I agree with all the other responses here. Definitely not a problem in your room, and the cat seems to avoid the eating area proper, preferring to stay in a sunny chair in another room on the other side of the reception area. If your allergies would act up even at that distance, apparently (I learned from the other responses) you can have breakfast delivered to your room.
The rooms are in separate buildings and you can have your breakfast delivered to your room. You should be able to avoid the other cat.
You should not have a problem in your room because it is in a separate building. You can also have your breakfast delivered there.
The rooms are in several separate buildings so I would not expect any impact unless you were in the main building where the breakfast room is, but I have stayed here twice and not ever seen the cat. If the weather is nice you can take your breakfast outside by the pool, too. It's not like a mom and pop "inn" - more like a boutique hotel. You should be fine.
We only saw it once in the lounge. it wanders freely.
