He is 90 yrs old and living in Bull Head City,AZ .Is their a chance we could take a tour of the dam in side, befor he not able too. Please Let Us Know , William O King & #5 Son Jay B King
Yes they have tours I believe daily. It is so worth it to see the inside. It is amazing the intricate workmanship. You see the turbiines operating. They should have a website for visitor info. We just went to the dam itself and happened to get right in.
was under construction when I visited. I don't think there are indoor tours.
We were just there yesterday. Not sure about yours inside. We walked all around the outside and read the history.. Amazing Dam!!!
I haven't been in the Damn tour for over 15yrs, before you could but because of 911 i believe they np longer do,, but i have an idea!!?? Being one of the few surviving workers that acually built this awesome part of history, why not do one of 2 things 1.notify the chamber of commerce or the part that controls the Damn and mention about your Grandfather and suggest a private Documentation about the real stories they endured, they may offer a free private tour in lieu of admission prices for the whole family OR i really like this udea 2.) Call your local news media and explain about how they may be one of the few living workers to give accounts or tell awesome stories never heard before and how you believe this would be a great Historic Documental video before all true hands on historic stories, ecents, hardships will be forever lost!? They may like this once in a lifetime chance to document facts and pay your grandfathers along with family or pay for private tours with ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP!!?? Get the idea lol,, im nearly certain they will do this,,they pay for stories fake or real all the time,,, take a chance all that can happen is word will get out and you may have offers for such a true once in a lifetime story!! I like this idea myself! Imagine the family decades to come being able to have thee Bragging rights about there family on video, what a way to leave a legacy, ,
