hi. is there a shuttle or taxi service into the city? or what is the easiest travel from hotel to the symphony space? {never drove in nyc before}
Hello, we did not travel into NYC while we visited Paramus. I'm sure there is public transportation available...we had our own vehicle to get around.
Since we did not travel into the city, I have no actual experience about transportation. Yes..There is a commuter but into the city but it is on the other side of Route 4 so it is not easily accessible from the hotel (unless the Hotel has a shuttle to do that). And about a shuttle: I can't say one exists that would take someone into the city. But I agree with the person who wrote the prior review. Uber operates to and from the city for very reasonable rates. And as i said in my original review, the staff is super nice and helpful. I cannot imagine that they wouldn't help someone find the best and most reasonable way into Manhattan...or anywhere else. By the way, if you have a car, you can always drive to the Park and Drive in Secaucus (about 20 min) and take the commuter bus into Manhattan ( a 5 -10 minute bus ride). In the rush hour, those buses are continually going from the lot into the city to the Port Authority at 8th avenue and 38th street.
There are always taxi services, but they can be pricey into the city from Paramus. If memory serves, Paramus is on a bus and train line which drops off in the city at either Penn Station(34th St) or Port Authority(42nd St). I usually call a Lift or Uber car when I need to get anywhere when I'm traveling. Good Luck!
