Very interested in MountainTrek! Are the hikes challenging enough for a very experienced hiker? Thank you.

Hi. In my case I was walking well ahead of the group. They said I had to remain in view so I should turn around and keep looping back toward the group. The following day they sent us out with an extra guide, Kirk. It was myself and another woman and barefoot Kirk in our group. We kept an excellent pace. I got my exertion to where I am soaking wet which I love. :-) I don't know if they could always make this accommodation. We were the first group of the year, it was not fully booked.

Yes! it's impressive how much time they spend making sure you are hiking in the best group for you---and all the guides have walkie-talkies to allow people to switch groups at some point during the day if you are feeling particularly strong or tired and need to change groups. There are many steep and challenging hikes, especially if you want them!

Hikes are as challenging as you want them as fitness levels and experiences are taken into consideration when groups go out. If you find it to easy they would be thrilled to make it as difficult as you might want. Have some fun, get some rest!
