Fundy Trail Parkway Questions & Answers

Is fundy trail parkway connected with McCumber Brook Road yet? From google map, it shows that they are connected. And you can exit the fundy trail parkway to McCumber Brook Road and then to route 114 and don't have to turn back to the entrance. THe google map is correct?

The Fundy Trail parkway reaches up to Walton Glen (30km). The province is beginning the process of paving the connector roads towards Sussex (end of 2020 completion date) and then Alma (end of 2021 completion date) so it is not accessible from that side. We hope to see you soon!

No it is completely blocked still. It looks complete from the blockade, nicely tarred and built but they still had it blocked when we went. We had to turn around.

Lihua.....

I would recommend doing Hopewell Rocks & Fundy Trail on separate days. Fundy Trail is now 30Km with many areas to stop & enjoy. Looking into the tide times is also a factor to consider when along the coast.

Also take a look at Cape Enrage whil you are in the Hopewell/Alma area. May be of interest to you.

Unless you are going to hike at the end you might want to turn back before then. The last several kilometres have no real view.

I would allow three hours minimum.

The link between the Fundy Trail & Fundy National Park is not complete. The Fundy Trail presently ends at McCumber Brook Trail where there are 2 falls. Don't let the maps fool you. There are many old logging roads shown on the maps. Trail was to be completed in 2018 but was delayed unfortunately.

No, the road does not go through yet. You have to turn back.

We turned around at the Interpretive Center so we could go back and view the Sea Caves at high tide, but my impression was that we were eventually going to have to turn back anyway. Sorry I can be of more help.

Fundy Trail still only has one way in and out which is near St Martins. The information I saw there said the road is targeted to be connected through to 114 in the year 2021.

We were there in October 2018 and the Parkway was not yet finished; therefore, you have to return to the entrance to get out. I believe they said that was on the plans for 2019 but you can call the information number and find out.

Hi,

The McCumber Brook road has gates on either side of the Fundy Trail but they do cross.
