Are you able to drive on the runway as a learner?
all access is by public roads
Separately from the museum, as Mark says, are the disused runways - I used them years ago for teaching my son and daughter the basics of car control, though beware they are fairly crumbly and we shared the wonderful facility with micro-light pilots and model flyers. I am given to understand that these are still accessible....good luck!
as you leave the museums and turn right about a quarter of a mile down the road there are 2 taxiways and a runway , but a main road runs through the middle. have a look on google maps in satellite mode.
