Does anyone know if all of the rooms have now been refurbished? - We have booked two single rooms and will be staying at the start of October. I was just wondering if we are likely to get refurbished and modern rooms ?
myself and my son went 20th of this month new tv in rooms still got to instore showders in some rooms
When we stayed at the begining of June there was still some rooms being updated. Don't know if they would be finished as yet. There was big rolls of carpets sitting under the verandah waiting to be laid.
I shared a twin room, number 122, with my brother-in-law. This was at the end of June. This was a large room and had been very recently refurbished, together with the en-suite, which had a shower and almost instant hot water. However some of the coach party we were with commented that they had no shower, only a bath,so maybe refurbishment is still on-going.
Our room had been refurbished it was on the second floor I can't remember the number . There was a lot of banging and sawing going on . Someone said they where working on the third floor .That was April x
I agree with Mary - the refurb is an ongoing process so best to check before you go - a quick call should ensure you get a good room. They are very eager to please
Suspect that the answer is no. Our room (106) was excellent and excellent size albeit with small TV. Hotel staff are very helpful and I am sure they would confirm current situation
we went in may and they were still working on it so by oct they should all be done, the staff there are very good and the food aswell go to Dingwall and see the history of Sir Hector Macdonald what a man he was very interesting.
Afraid I have no idea ! Alison
We had a room with 2 single beds and it was beautifully redecorated, more than adequate space. Just a very small TV which caused a few giggles as it seemed so out of place in such a large room. Bathroom, en suite, was well appointed.
Don,t know if all rooms are refurbished, we only wanted a room with a shower so it was a bit of a upgrade we had and we were really pleased with refurbished room.

The Bay Highland Hotel is a very old building,it will take years to be fully refurbished. It is owned by Sheerings and it is an ideal hotel for coach trips mostly from south of the border, who can enjoy good old Scottish hospitality, including entertainment. The staff are very helpful,Scottish,East European and English.
I stayed at the end of May and initially was allocated a third floor room but I had to complain as I was unable to open the window due the window sticking and also the window ledge was very wide and difficult to lean across. There was no mention of refurbishment at the time and I was allocated another room. Your best bet is to contact the hotel directly or if booked with a tour company ask them.
