Hello All! We will be in the Deer Valley area over Christmas week this year and we want to head over to the Olympic Park and do the bobsled, etc. My research indicates that we can take the free park city shuttles from Deer Valley to Olympic Park. Has anyone done that? Any words of warning or advice? Thanks!
Hi, the free city buses will get you from DV to the Kimball Junction Transit Station/Visitor Info Center. From there, you can catch a complimentary shuttle that runs on the hour during the day from the Visitor Center (inside Hugo Coffee). Your hotel may also offer a complimentary shuttle directly from your accommodations to the UOP. Have a great visit!
The buses run about twice an hour.
I got my schedule from the Hotel.
We were there for business in July. We know they have shuttles that will get you where you need to go (picture rental car shuttles with 6 inch suspension lift kit and big snow tires). We did not use them but saw others using them. Park City and Deer Valley are spectacular! enjoy!
Yes, you should take the complimentary bus, in fact, that's one of the best un-spoken deals around. It's safe, clean, and the drivers are courteous. We enjoyed this and took advantage whenever visiting Main Street for dinner (there were also free shuttles on Main Street). Never had to worry about a designated driver. Wish more destinations offered these services. You may want to check the Winter schedule. Hope this helps!
We found the bus schedules a little confusing, but the busses do run frequently.
We did not take any public transport. Not sure the location of Deer Valley, but it should be an easy drive. They have a fair amount of parking in the complex.
We did not use public transportation while in Park City, except for the Main Street shuttle. There were shuttle buses running all over the place, so your research may be correct. Whomever you are renting from should know the answer. Enjoy!!
