A group of us (5 women....celebrating my 60th) birthday are visiting Twillingate at the end of May beginning od June. Staying for 2 nights. My wish is to see icebergs!! Anything you cam tell me, any places you can recommend to visit or to dine at will really be appreciated. We start in Sy Johns for 2 nights, then drive to Twillingate for 2 nights. After that we make our way back to St. Johns. This is the only leg of the journey, other than things to do in Twillingate, that we have left to plan....the final planning meeting is on Friday. Hope to hear back soon.
Roz (from Oakville). Thank you

This is for Dave..........in Twillingate, we really want to see icebergs. Most in the party want to go out on a boat but they are not too excit d about a smaller boat like a zodiac. They are nervous, as I founs out last night. Are these excursions something we can book once we get to Twillingate? I think they want to see the boat and decide then. Please advise.
Hi Dave...I am getting your reply. I have responded but maybe you didnt get it.
We have decided.....at our final meeting last night.....that we will stop in Bonavista. We are planning on staying 2 nights....June 2nd arrival from Twillingate and June 3rd. Leaving the morning to of June 4th for St. john's. Would very much appreciate your insights and assistance. 3 possibly 4 in the group want to do some hiking trails. Other than that we are open to most activities and excursions.
It looks like you had an answer from Dave - certainly contact him. He is THE man for that area - you won't be disappointed. He can recommend places to stay and he would be the person to get you up close and personal to icebergs.
Sounds fun! Plan for a half day drive from St. John's. A boat tour is an excellent idea; should whales and icebergs be elusive you will be treated to scenic coast and great stories. We hiked several trails, of which Spencer's Park and the Lighthouse trails were the favorites. When in doubt, ask; people are happy to help!
