Hi - For people who have stayed there in August: Where this is a condo property - not a big hotel - are there enough kids at the pool during the day? Is it a lively pool atmosphere? Or is it quiet? We have 3 tween/teen kids so an active/lively pool is an important feature for us...tks!
There where definitely kids about but the pools are a little small. I wouldn't say it is a "lively pool atmosphere"
This is honestly not the place to choose if you want great pool activity for kids. I would suggest the Marriott or Hyatt nearby.
If you compare Kaanapali Alii pool to the Weston it is very small. I found it to be very quiet as were the grounds. From what I understand Weston only available to its guests.
The pool area is fairly small compared to the big hotels nearby. One pool is for families and another pool is considered the quiet pool. We felt that the pool area was the weak point of the property but you get so much else inside. We traveled with our 2 teenagers and really appreciated how spacious the condos are. Lots of room to spread out and that outweighed the lack of a great pool. There are plenty of other things to do.
The pool is pretty small and when were there, we saw a few small children, but I think tweens and teens would be better off on the beach than the pool at this resort. It is not a lively pool atmosphere, but on the quieter side.
We have found that it varies, but there are usually some kids around. As I noted in my review, the nearby Marriott has pools made for kids, with cool slides and such, and the pools are busy, virtual "kid magnets". But, it's a hotel, not a condo, so you have the trade-offs.
