uber is the best option; if you are not time bound and are okay traveling with others, you can take the Uber Shuttle option which is only 5$ per person too. Depending on the traffic, you can expect to pay between 40 - 48$ if you take an exclusive Uber.

Uber or cab service. Also Carmel Limo has fair rates.

I used Carmel limo service ( they have both good & bad write ups ) & it's probably a crap shoot but they were great in both directions and cheaper than a cab ( I think I paid about $35-40)

I used Uber. Do not let someone at the airport ask you if you want a ride. Either take a legit cab from the line or order your own Uber or Lyft from your phone. Lots of hustlers to be aware of. Have fun!

We were planning on taking a taxi, but they closed La Guardia during the first half of our flight for some strange reason and we had to land in Newark, but we still took a taxi because we didn't want to miss our play! Only go to the taxi lines, clearly marked.
