Morning is probably better, but in any case the bus has to stop in traffic to see the performances, so traffic is already kind of considered. :) Preferably not to go in the dark as it will be less interesting to see outside.

Time and traffic don't matter. It's never too dark in NY. But get the New York pass. Otherwise it's not worth the money. 69 bucks normal price. For free with New York pass.

Clearly go in daylight. Traffic doesn't matter. You're watching pedesrians. Stopping and watching is part of the fun.

Don't go in the bad weather. The actors are bad. Don't go in the dark. You can't see anyone.

We went for 7 days- there didn’t particularly Seam a better time! To be honest you don’t notice the traffic and pace once in the ride- hope this helps.

We went on a Saturday morning and traffic wasn’t an issue. It’s such an experience that you don’t notice traffic. The bus has to be in traffic anyway otherwise you can’t watch the performances.
