What’s the best way to get back from Brooklyn Bridge (Manhattan side) to Times Square? I was thinking taxi but I’m not sure how easy it is to get one and wouldn’t want to get stuck!
Hi Jodie, there are subways on just about every street corner. It's not the most simple system if you are a visitor like we were but you if you go into the nearest subway, go up to the ticket machines and pay for a single ride $3 and just look for the uptown line (usually signposted Queens) and get off at Times Square or 42nd Street you are there. The subway is so much quicker and cheaper, taxis have to fight through the traffic and end up being expensive. You can hop between lines on the subway too as long as you don't walk out the exit you don't pay any more.Theres always someone to ask if you're not sure but don't be lured in by beggars who hang around trying to be super helpful but basically want a tip! Have a great time
I took the subway. Only takes about 15 minutes and is very safe. If you are there for a few days, buy an unlimited metro card and you can use it in the subway or bus lines. Well worth the money.
Take the number 6 subway from Brooklyn Bridge station under the Municipal Bldg and go to Grand Central.
Transfer to the 7 going west to Times Square. Much faster than a cab or Uber.
Hi there’s a Brooklyn bridge subway station 50 metres from bridge. Rather than buy single journey tickets get metro card unlimited travel $32 dollars for 7 days unlimited travel. The subway system is very easy no waiting for trains, they are every couple minutes and free subway map at all stations. Brooklyn bridge wonderful. Safe lots people even at night and souviner Seles at start bridge 1/3 price of any gift shops.
I agree - the subway is the easiest way. Once you get to the Manhattan side of the bridge, continue down the same street and you will reach a park called City Hall Park, and the subway entrance is right there, you can't miss it. Very short ride back to Times Square.
The train is best actually, but there’s lots of traffic commuting via car.
